1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using GoHire (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GoHire. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
To use GoHire you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws
By using the Platform you represent and warrant that all of the above are true.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must register with a valid email address and choose a role: "Candidate" or "Recruiter". You may only hold one account per role. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at gohire@immersiavr.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.3 Accurate Information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile up to date. Misrepresentation of qualifications, experience, or company details is grounds for immediate account termination.
4. Candidate-Specific Terms
As a Candidate you agree to:
- Submit only truthful information in your profile, CV, and job applications
- Not apply to jobs you are knowingly unqualified or ineligible for
- Respond to recruiter messages promptly and professionally
- Not use the platform to solicit money, gifts, or personal favours from recruiters
GoHire is not a party to any employment relationship or job offer. We do not guarantee job placement or the accuracy of any job listing.
5. Recruiter-Specific Terms
As a Recruiter you agree to:
- Only post genuine, open job vacancies at companies you are authorised to represent
- Provide accurate company information, including a valid company website and LinkedIn page
- Not collect application fees, training fees, or any payment from candidates as part of the hiring process
- Not discriminate against candidates on the basis of gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Not use candidate data obtained through GoHire for any purpose other than evaluating applications for posted roles
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian labour laws, including the Labour Act and the Employees' Compensation Act
GoHire reserves the right to remove any job posting that violates these terms without notice or refund.
6. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on GoHire:
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or profiles
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with a company
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages ("spam") to other users
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Platform without written permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its backend systems
- Uploading content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or infringes any third-party rights
- Using the Platform for money laundering, advance-fee fraud, or any other criminal activity
- Creating fake profiles or accounts to manipulate platform rankings or matching scores
Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement where applicable.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials on GoHire are owned by or licensed to GoHire and are protected under Nigerian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
Your content: You retain ownership of content you upload (CV, profile text, messages). By uploading content, you grant GoHire a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Platform and provide services to you.
8. Subscriptions & Payments
Recruiter subscription plans are available on a monthly basis. Pricing and features are described on the Subscription page. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law
- GoHire reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
Free accounts are subject to limits that may change at any time.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
GoHire does not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any job listing is accurate, genuine, or will result in employment
- Any candidate profile accurately reflects the individual's qualifications
We are a technology intermediary; we do not verify every piece of information posted by users and are not liable for any loss resulting from inaccurate user-generated content.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, GoHire and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to GoHire in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
GoHire may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or for any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Platform, other users, or the public.
You may delete your account at any time via your account settings or by emailing gohire@immersiavr.com. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
